I have been thinking for a while now that the so-called “credit-crunch” is really a crisis of business integrity, fuelled by human weakness but driven by inadequate business models that have been isolated from reality by their “systems.”
Robin Bloor has written a great blog about the Era of Broken Business models, Robin’s analysis of the problem is spot-on but he doesn’t set out the likely resolution path.
I think the Systems world can help solve the problems and the New Year will finally bring some new thinking to previously unreceptive businesses. In fact I am banking on this.
