- Effective linkages between Vision, Strategy, Policy and Operations.
- Effective governance models.
- Effective agility for enterprises that need to engage/disengage faster.
- Effective feedback and learning improves understanding and insight.
- Effective internal alignment between business and info-structure, harnessing truly dynamic tools and techniques.
- Effective resource management recognising real-world trades-off.
- Effective sharing of essential corporate meanings.
- Effective sense-making from complex and uncertain environments.
- Effective action to deal with the hidden warning signs that usually sneak below the enterprise radar.
- Effective synergy for previous investments (ERP, Balanced Scorecard, ABC, BPM, Six Sigma, LEAN etc.)
Why does my list repeat the word effective ten times? Because many organisations have functions that may be present but not truly effective.
That’s why it’s so important to regularly take stock and ask ourselves how effective are we really and how can we be more effective?
