Broadband provider VirginMedia are sending snotty letters to “illegal” music downloaders and may clap these dastardly “pirates” in irons if they don’t buckle down and pay attention to Cap’n Branson and his crew.
Notwithstanding the legalities, technicalities and niceties of the scenario, I feel that the policy clearly illustrates the strange prioritisation of customer service issues at VirginMedia.
I appreciate that illegal music sharing might be a bit of problem to the music industry but I am sure that VM customers have many other issues that could do with being tackled by “Britain’s favourite businessman.”
As a VM customer myself, here are a few far more pressing issues for their hard-pressed resources:
-
Sex related spam
-
Drugs related spam
-
Virgin network performance
These three waste far more of my time, on an hourly basis, while VirginMedia steadfastly show no appetite whatsoever for addressing any of them.
Instead of wasting time sending out snotty letters the mp3 hooligans, it’s high time VM started sorting out their core business and give us the network speed we pay for and some decent customer service. Forget the “Pirates,” sort yourselves out first Me Hearties!
